Hello GEB, I would like to thank you again for your feedback regarding October 20th! After much debate and conversations with our staff, we will NOT be attending the Duncanville Marching Invitational Contest. There would be about 10-12 students who would not be able to make it and if we were to advance to finals, we would not be able to stay to perform in it because of too many conflicts that evening. Hello GEB, The Desoto Marching Contest if officially CANCELLED. Please stay home tomorrow and rest, work on homework and spend time with your family. The band hall will be closed. I appreciate everyone’s feedback in regards to possibly going to contest next Saturday, October 20th. Tomorrow’s Marching Contest – NEED FEEDBACK ASAP!!!

Hello GEB, I am waiting to hear from the host in regards tomorrow’s marching contest. I would like some input from you before making a final decision. There is a chance that it will get cancelled (4 contests in the DFW area currently have). If it does not, there is a 100% chance of rain in Richardson and 75% in Desoto. Hello GEB, There are many things to be excited about in the Golden Eagle Band: 220/221 of the students passed every one of their non-exempt classes! We met our March-a-thon fundraising goal of 30K! We have marked every set in the show! We earned 4th place at the Little Elm Classic on the Lake Marching Contest! Hello GEB, First, congratulations to all who auditioned for the TMEA Jazz All-Region Band. In addition, congratulations to Jacob Watson for placing in the ensemble. Furthermore, the Wind Symphony has been named a 2018 National Winner in the Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors Project sponsored by the Foundation for Music Education! The Mark of Excellence had 279 entries from all over the nation and Richardson High School was the only National Winner in RISD and one of only 10 across the US!
