Fundraising is more critical than ever for the Golden Eagle Band! Your contributions allow our students to focus on the music by directly lowering band fees and providing resources for our award-winning program. The money raised also helps supply scholarships to ensure every student has the opportunity to participate in grades 6th-12th of the Richardson High School Attendance Zone. Below are some of the different ways you can help support the GEB this year.
- UPTEMPO FUNDRAISER – Student driven campaign in the fall where students will text friends & family to ask for a cash donation. Prizes are awarded for top section and top students!
- MARCH-A-THON – This 5k march, generally held in late September or early October, is a highly anticipated annual neighborhood event. We march and play in the streets surrounding RHS and raise funds through lawn concerts and cash donations.
- CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS – We love our community corporate sponsors! If you have a connection to a business and could put us in touch with their team, we can provide Corporate Sponsorship benefits and how their sponsorship benefits our program. - EVENING OF JAZZ – Each Spring, the GEB hosts a Jazz Concert and Silent Auction Fundraiser. This evening is filled with jazz music performed by our own award-winning RHS Jazz Band, delicious bites, and fabulous items to bid on at the silent auction.
- SPIRIT WEAR – Our amazing Spirit Wear team sells the best assortment of RHS spirit wear, gear, and accessories. Sales are held at registration, Friday night home football games, and other events throughout the year. Be sure and visit our booth to get decked out in all your RHS and GEB finery.
- BAND SPIRIT NIGHTS – Several times during the school year we will announce a local restaurant who will be donating a portion of sales to the band for that date. Just show up with as many friends and family as you can find, mention the GEB, and enjoy the fellowship and food. The Golden Eagle Band will then get a nice check from the restaurant!
- KROGER – Add the “Richardson High School Area Band Club” Account BK510 to your preferred Community Rewards recipient and a percentage of your shopping proceeds will be sent to the GEB.
- SOCIAL MEDIA FUNDRAISERS – Did you know you can run a fundraising campaign through Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram)? You can choose to do it for your birthday, a special anniversary, or just because!
- CORPORATE MATCHING PROGRAMS – Many companies offer donation matching programs, whether it’s in exchange for volunteer hours or matching your personal donations. Be sure to check with your employer’s HR department to find out what options they may offer!
