Hello GEB,
First, congratulations to all who auditioned for the TMEA Jazz All-Region Band. In addition, congratulations to Jacob Watson for placing in the ensemble.
Furthermore, the Wind Symphony has been named a 2018 National Winner in the Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors Project sponsored by the Foundation for Music Education! The Mark of Excellence had 279 entries from all over the nation and Richardson High School was the only National Winner in RISD and one of only 10 across the US! The pieces entered were Hammersmith and Danzon No. 2 from last year’s UIL program.
