Senior Night @ Varsity Football Game – Jesuit @ RHS

We will recognize the band seniors at our final home game of the season. Line-up for escorts will be at 6:15pm at the south end of the track to walk through the tunnel. Escorts and family must purchase a ticket for the game as a normal spectator would. Once you are in the stadium, go under the stands all the way to the right to get to the track. Dress for parent escorts is “Snappy Casual” (i.e nice but comfortable). For example, ladies, you will want to avoid a spiky heel so that you will not sink into the turf as you are walking.

Seniors will be presented in alphabetical order by last name. The order will be Band, Eaglettes, Eagle Guard, and then Desperados Seniors. Typically, parents escort their senior but any two grown-ups who are meaningful to that student may escort (teacher, aunt etc.). You may walk without an escort. A maximum of 2 escort names will be read aloud.

Lost & Found

Any remaining items in the lost and found pile in the band library will be donated to Goodwill and/or RISD clothes closet during Thanksgiving week if it is still there. If you have misplaced anything from marching season, be sure you check that area to see if it is there this week.

Looking Ahead…

Friday & Saturday, December 10 & 11

TMEA All-Region Auditions @ Duncanville HS

All 10-12 grade students (and select 9th graders) in Wind Symphony and Symphonic Winds are required to audition for All-Region. Be sure you are practicing your 3 Etudes for your instrument and submitting your assignments in Google Classroom for a grade. Students in Symphonic Band and Concert Band have alternate etudes that will be passed off for a grade in the coming weeks, as well. The due date for all etudes is Friday, December 10.

Let’s make it a great week!
