Here is a friendly reminder regarding next week’s band schedule:
Rehearsal Schedule 08/15 – 08/19
Monday: 5:30 PM – 8:45 PM
Tuesday: 5:30 PM – 8:45 PM (section leaders, please arrive by 4:00 PM to set-up for RISD fine arts staff development)
Wednesday: NO REHEARSAL
Thursday: 5:30 PM – 8:45 PM (section leaders, please arrive by 4:00 PM to separate all of the uniform parts for band members)
Friday: 7:30 PM – 5:30 PM. Lunch break is from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
*Please bring your water bottle, sunscreen and instrument.
*Students will receive all of their ordered uniform parts (if applicable) on Friday, August 19th at the end of rehearsal. Students who ordered under Amor compression shirts will be fitted on this day as well.
*If it rains on any of the rehearsal days, we will practice inside in the band hall.
*Drumline – please see Mr. Schmuck’s email regarding Convocation on Monday and Tuesday.
Fall Premiere 08/20
My favorite day of Band Camp is the last one – the Fall Premiere. On Saturday, August 20th, we’ll all gather together as family to celebrate the official start of the marching season and all the kids’ hard work.
Performance will start @ 11:00 AM in the stadium (call time for students is 9:00 AM). The students will premiere the music to the 2016 Marching Show “For Whom the Bell Tolls” along with several pep tunes and RHS fan favorites. Directly following the performance, we’ll have a cookout for EVERYONE provided by the RABC. Details for students is below:

Location: RHS Stadium
Performance Time: 11:00 AM (family and friends)
Equipment: Make sure you have your flip folder filled with pep-tunes, lyre, and instrument.
Attire:
· GEB purple Dri-fit shirt
· GEB black shorts
· Black ankle socks
· Tennis shoes
Color guard – show t-shirt, black shorts and tennis shoes
*If it rains on this day, performance will occur in the auditorium.
