The percussion concert has been moved to Tuesday, May 18th due to facilities that were not available on the original date (May 13th). The start time is 7:00 PM. We apologize for any issues that this may cause but we wanted to be able to keep everyone socially distant in the auditorium.
Band Auditions Continue 05/10
Please see below for audition dates. Students will audition during the school day. Virtual students can audition during their band class, 8th period or after school. Please note that if we finish a section, we will go onto the next section even if it is not technically on the actual audition date (due to the block schedule).
05/10 – Trumpet Auditions
05/11 – French Horn/Euphonium Auditions
05/12 – Trombone/Tuba/Basson/Bass Clarinet Auditions
05/15 – Marching Percussion Auditions
RABC Board Meeting 05/11
Parents – if you are on the RABC Board, our next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 11th at 6:30 PM. You will receive an email from our booster president for Zoom details.
Legacy Jazz Concert 05/11
The Legacy Jazz Concert will be on Tuesday, May 11th in the Richardson High School Auditorium. See below for details:
Dress Rehearsal – Monday, May 10th. All students need to be present for 7th period and will run through the four big band pieces. Students are blocked 8th period. Legacy will join in their two tunes. Rehearsal should be complete by the end of school.
Concert Rehearsal – Tuesday, May 11th. Sound check / warm-up will start at 5:00pm in the auditorium. Students need to wear nice clothes (coat and tie). Concert will begin at 6:00pm.

RISD Concerto Showcase 05/12
The RISD Concerto Showcase will be on Wednesday, May 12th in the JJ Pearce High School Auditorium. Please wear dress clothes. This event is only open to family members of the finalists. Good luck to Ben DiGennaro, Amin Norris and Hendon Pollard as they represent RHS! Please remind your accompanist about the event. Students – please plan to be there the entire night as there will be an award ceremony are the end. Guest judges are Phillip Clements and Allan Goodwin (music faculty at Texas A&M Commerce). Please see below for schedule.

6:30 PM – First Performance
8:20 PM – Last Performance
8:40 PM – Award Ceremony
Wind Symphony/Drumline Pep Band Performance 05/13
The Wind Symphony, Drumline, Cheerleaders and Eaglettes will be having a pep band performance that will be recorded for our district on Thursday, May 13th. Please see below for details:
8:10 AM – Arrive @ Band Hall
8:20 AM – Rehearsal of Hey Song/Fight Song
8:40 AM – Transition to school’s front entrance
9:00 AM – Staging/Rehearsal with Cheerleaders and Eaglettes
10:00 AM – Students are block for their 2nd period class. Video record tunes!
Attire – GEB black shirt and jeans. Please bring marching instruments, flip folder and lyre.
