Spring Trip Payment #5 Due 03/02/20
The 5th spring trip payment of $200 is due on Monday, March 2nd. By end of the day Monday, students should have paid at least $975 towards their trip. The end of the 3rd 9 weeks is also on Friday, March 6th. All students MUST be passing their non-eligible classes in order to be eligible for the trip.
Marching Percussion Clinic #2 03/03/20
On Tuesday, March 3rd, we will be having our first full Marching Percussion Audition Clinic. Percussion students will meet in the band hall promptly at 5:30PM. The event will conclude at 8:30PM. Please contact Mr. Schmuck (david.schmuck@risd.org) for more details.
RABC Board Meeting 03/03/20
Parents – our next board meeting is on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30 PM in the RHS orchestra room.
Up Tempo Fundraiser 03/04/20
Please see attachment on TWIGEB email. The Richardson High School Band will be kicking off our Up Tempo Fundraising campaign on Wednesday, March 4th! This is a campaign that allows our students to receive donations from their family and friends. To assist our fundraising efforts, we are asking you to help your son/daughter obtain permission for and gather 20 email addresses of his/her closest supporters.
Family and friends will then receive an email directing them to the student’s personal web page providing an easy way for them to donate.
ALL students will meet in the band hall (2:10 PM – 3:15 PM) after school on early release to discuss our Up Tempo Fundraiser. Rather than using SNAP as we did last year, we will be going with Up Tempo as they provide a better percentage for their service. We will feed the students pizza!
Up-Tempo Email Campaign Facts:
1. Safe and Protected – Up Tempo utilizes a safe and secure online donation system. All data is private and never redistributed. Personal information displayed is less detailed than what is given on a team online roster or your school’s annual yearbook, with no personal information other than name and optional picture/selfie. Your contacts are strictly private and protected, never sold or shared and will be deleted after the campaign.
2. Online donation system – Up Tempo is basically an online donation platform inviting potential donors via email and social media to visit the web page where they can easily donate and support your program. All supporters will receive an emailed receipt for their tax-deductible gift. Four reminder emails will be sent throughout the campaign with the option to unsubscribe.
