Spring Trip Chaperones
Thank you to the 30+ parents who signed up to volunteer for our spring trip. Unfortunately we can only take 17 parents (1 parent per 10 students). Consideration was based on volunteering on the booster board, volunteer hours throughout the year, past spring trip experience and seniority. Again, thank you for wanting to help; this was a very tough decision to make as we have the best parents in the world! If plans have changed, please let me know ASAP. Price for chaperones is $100 less than students ($1075) and payments should be made immediately.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser Reminder
The Cookie Dough Fundraiser continues! Please see attachment again for details. Students received packets today in classes that provides information regarding School ID/Student ID.
All-Region Masterclasses 12/02/19
The third round of all-region masterclasses for TROMBONES continue. This class will meet after school from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM and are require for Wind Symphony, Symphonic Winds and auditioning students in Symphonic Band/Concert.
PTA Symphony Orchestra Rehearsal 12/03/19
Members of the Wind Symphony who volunteered/were selected for Symphony Orchestra will have a rehearsal in the band hall from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3rd. Make sure to come prepared to this rehearsal (pencil, all music learned, etc.). Performance will occur on Thursday (AM), December 5th.

RISD Holiday Parade 12/07/19
It is hard to believe it is almost December! With that comes the holidays, and with the holidays comes the RISD Holiday Parade. Here are the details regarding this event:
Who: Colorguard and all wind players NOT participating in the Region 3 High School All-Region auditions.
When: Saturday, December 7th
Where: Meet at the Berkner HS Band Hall (in full uniform)
Call time: 7:15 AM
Rehearsal: 7:30 AM
Line-up: 8:30 AM
Parade ends: around 9:30-10:00 AM
Attire: Full Contest Uniform: marching shoes, black socks (mid calf length or higher), bibbers (uniform pants), GEB underarmor, jacket, plus your favorite holiday headwear, i.e. Santa hat (no shako). TAKE YOUR UNIFORM WITH YOU ON FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOL.
Music: Jingle Bells – it will be handed out in class. Do not forget your flip folder!
The parade will end at Apollo JH. Please make arrangements to be picked up at this location. Students who drive – it would be to your advantage to travel in a group of 3-4 and leave a car waiting for you at Apollo. After the parade, you can coordinate driving back to Berkner to pick up the other car(s). Students who do not drive – make arrangements to be picked up at Apollo. Remember – this is a required event. Attendance will be taken and performance grade will be given. Please arrive on time with your required attire and materials. When you arrive, please check in with Mr. Schmuck/Mr. Reyna.
TMEA Region 3 High School All-Region Phase I Auditions 12/07/19
The Region 3 High School All-Region Auditions will be held at Berkner High School on Saturday, December 7th. All participating students were registered in their band class and the director(s) reserve the right to prevent a student from attending the audition based on the preparation of the music. The region audition fee is $15. Please submit payment by 5:00 pm to the band safe by Friday, December 6th. You can pay with cash, money order or check (made out to RABC). Once I receive the audition times from the region chair, a separate email will be sent out to students auditioning with more specific details regarding this event.
