2019 Golden Eagle Band Registration Packet Released!

Hello GEB,

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! The 2019 Golden Eagle Band Registration Packet was emailed today. It includes IMPORTANT information regarding: band registration times (July 27th), fees, release forms (including physical requirement), pre-game meal options, signs, football tickets, media guide ads, March-a-thon, summer band schedule (UPDATED), school registration (August 5th), SAT/ACT/PSAT test dates, 2019-2020 Calendar of Events (UPDATED) and RABC board.

A couple of things to mention:

The Band Hall will be opened on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM for private lessons and/or practice time. STUDENTS – remember that when you return for Full Band Camp on July 29th, ALL of your show music is to be memorized. To aid you with your practice, the mp3 audio was also emailed.

The March-a-ton is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Our goal is to raise a minimum of $35,000. 9th Grade Camp is from July 25th – 26th. Remember that this camp is required for 9th grade winds and color guard as well as leadership (including attendance/logistics crew) – NO PERCUSSION. Please wear athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, apply sunscreen and bring your marching instrument.

Band Registration is on Saturday, July 27th for both parents and students. Please see schedule for assigned times. Plan for event to last up to 2 hours and understand that our band parent volunteers work extremely hard to make it run smoothly for you.

Full Band Camp starts on July 29th and it is required for ALL students in the program (9th-12th). Please see schedule in packet.

School Registration for all students in the program will be on Monday, August 5th from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM. Please arrive no later than 3:00 PM.

Do not be discouraged by band fees; we have the lowest band fees in the entire region (out of 51 high schools) and there are payment plan options if needed on the day of band registration. During the school year there are MANY volunteer opportunities and parents, we NEED your help.

The All-State Band Music will be released at noon on Monday, July 22nd at 12:00 PM. Please click the links below for audition materials – books/etudes.

We will copy these etudes as soon as they are released and will email them to you as soon as possible. Please contact your lesson teacher ASAP and get your summer lessons scheduled.
