Winter Guard Results
Congratulations to our Varsity Winter Guard as they finished off their season and placed 9th at NTCA Championships! Our JV placed 2nd at the MA Nationals!
RABC Board Meeting 04/02/19
Parents – our next board meeting is on Tuesday, April 2nd at 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
Spring Trip Meeting 04/02/19
Please note that our REQUIRED spring trip meeting will held on Tuesday, April 2nd from 7:45 PM – 8:45 PM in the RHS Band Hall. This meeting is for all students attending the trip AND at least one parent/legal guardian. We will be discussing trip information, expectations and itinerary.
Band Fees
This is your friendly reminder that if you have any outstanding band fees, please make payment ASAP. Students with outstanding balances (Registration, All-Region, Chamber Music Festival, Spring Trip, etc) will not be able to attend the spring trip or receive graduation tickets just to name a few. Parents/students please email our treasurer at richardsonbandtreasurer@gmail.com for any questions regarding outstanding balances.
Dress Rehearsals
04/04 – Concert Band Dress Rehearsal (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM)
Dallas Winds Windband Festival 04/06/19
Wind Symphony and Symphonic Winds will be performing at the Dallas Winds Windband Festival in the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on Saturday, April 6th. THE EVENT IS FREE FOR ALL WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND! Transportation is provided for students. Below is the schedule for the day:
Call Time: 9:00 AM (ALL students change into attire, grab instrument/supplies).
Percussion loads truck at 8:45 AM.
Load Buses: 9:30 AM
Symphonic Winds Warm-up: 11:00 AM
Symphonic Winds Performance: 11:30 AM
Wind Symphony Warm-up: 12:00 PM
Wind Symphony Performance: 12:30 PM
Load Buses: 3:00 PM
Wind Symphony will listen to Symphonic Winds and vise versa. Once both performances are complete, we will change out of our concert wear and head to Klyde Warren Park for a quick bite. Please bring $10-$15 to cover your meal.

Golden Eagle Band Orientation 04/06/19
The time is here! The Golden Eagle Band Orientation is on Saturday, April 6th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Please bring your marching gear (tennis shoes, shorts, water, etc.). We will be marching and unveiling the 2019 marching show! You do not need your instrument. This event is required for all current 9th-11th grade band members and all section leaders. Section leaders; please arrive by 3:30 PM for set-up and a brief meeting. At the end of our event, our lovely parents will be having a cookout @ 6:30 PM for everyone involved!
