Band Banquet Recap
What a fun night! THANK YOU SENIORS – WE WILL MISS YOU! Also, thank you to all of our parent volunteers who made the banquet such a special night.
Spring Creek Elementary Memorial Day Parade 05/28/18
The Golden Eagle Band will be performing at the SCE Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28th. This event is REQUIRED for old/new leadership and drumline. All others are welcomed! Please see below for details:
Call Time: 8:00 AM (rehearse/load buses)
Location: RHS Band Hall
Attire: GEB black shorts, GEB purple Dri-fit and tennis shoes
You will need your marching instrument, flip folder and lyre
Event will conclude at 12:15 PM (est)
HOT DOGS PROVIDED!!!
Final Exams
Attached you find the final exam schedule. During your final exam we will be rehearsing for graduation (WS/SW) and doing inventory. Please bring all school-owned instruments/accessories (mouthpieces, folders, mutes, etc.)
Leadership Camp 05/31-06/01
Session #1 – Thursday, May 31st
Time – 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Dinner provided
Session #2 – Friday, June 1st
Time 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (TIME CHANGE)
Lunch on your own
Please wear athletic clothing/tennis shoes.
RHS Graduation 06/02
As mentioned in class, current 9th-11th graders in Wind Symphony and Symphonic Winds will be performing at the RHS Graduation. Please see below for details:
9:00 AM: Combine WS/SW rehearsal in the RHS Band Hall
10:00 AM: Load buses and depart for Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, TX
10:45 AM: Unload buses/Set-up
11:00 AM: Sound Check
11:30 AM: Eat lunch (Lunch provided)
12:30 PM: Graduation Starts
3:00 PM: Graduation Concludes/Load Buses
3:45 PM: Arrive at RHS (est)
Attire: Sunday Best (Dress Clothes)
You will need your concert instrument and folder/music.

STUDENTS – PLAN YOUR VACATIONS, JOB SCHEDULES, DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS AND SUMMER CLASSES AROUND THE BAND SCHEDULE.
Students who fail to attend/show up late to all camps, are unprepared musically/physically for the activity or are a distraction to others during rehearsals will not be placed in a marching spot, regardless of grade level, ensemble placement or experience. This also includes grades (and grade history). A student can be removed at any point in the season should any of these items occur.
