Leadership Informational Meeting 05/01/18

We will be having our Leadership Informational Meeting on Tuesday, May 1st from 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM in the RHS band hall. Anyone interested in serving on the leadership team for the 2018-2019 school year will need to be attendance.

Wind Symphony Honor Band Concert #2 05/04/18

The second Honor Band Concert will be on May 4th. Please see details below:

6:45 AM – Call Time/Change in Concert Attire
7:15 AM – On stage/Sound Check
7:45 AM – Concert Starts
9:00 AM – Concert Concludes

Director’s Choice Festival 05/04/18

We will be hosting our second Director’s Choice Festival this Friday, May 4th from 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM. There will be a sign up sheet (20 students) at front of the room.

Leadership Help Session #1 05/04/18

Our first leadership clinic will be this Friday, May 4th from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

Senior Reminders

Please submit 2-3 pictures (baby, child, current) to Mr. Reyna (ryan.reyna@risd.org)for the band banquet slide show. Deadline to submit is May 10th.
Start working on your senior skit. Deadline is May 17th to submit for approval.
Band fees must be paid in full by May 25th. Graduation tickets will not be released unless fees are paid.

Marching Band Mini-June Camp (06/04/18-06/08/18). REQUIRED for ALL (9th-11th) Band, Guard and Percussion Members.

STUDENTS – PLAN YOUR VACATIONS, JOB SCHEDULES, DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS AND SUMMER CLASSES AROUND THE BAND SCHEDULE.

Students who fail to attend/show up late to all camps, are unprepared musically/physically for the activity or are a distraction to others during rehearsals will not be placed in a marching spot, regardless of grade level, ensemble placement or experience. This also includes grades (and grade history). A student can be removed at any point in the season should any of these items occur.
