Here is what is happening This Week In (the) Golden Eagle Band (TWIGEB)

Summer Band Rehearsals Continue with SPIRIT WEEK

Our regular summer band camp schedule of 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM continues this week (11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – lunch)! Depending on what the weather throws at us, we may have to flip our day as we did this past Monday/Tuesday. If it rains all day, we will be in one of the gyms for our marching portion of the camp. We WILL have rehearsal!

This week is SPIRIT WEEK! Please see below for details:

Marvel Monday – Superheroes
Twin Tuesday – Twins
Waikiki Wednesday – Hawaiian
Team Up Thursday – Favorite Team

Each day, the section with highest percentage participation will win the GOLDEN EAGLE CUP! The section with the most wins from ALL of our competitions (Mini Camp, 9th Grade Camp, Full Band) will earn a PIZZA PARTY during the first week of school!

*attire should NOT interfere with marching/playing or cause a student to get hot during the marching portion of our camp.

Alterante Band Registration – Mon, Aug. 7th @ 7:00 PM

If you were unable to get registered this past Saturday, it is imperative that you and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) attend our alternate registration date on Monday, August 7th at 7:00 PM in the RHS Band Hall.

Below are the links which include all of the information regarding the process. Please print, fill and bring all applicable forms. We will have blank forms available for those who do not have access to a printer. Band fees can be paid with cash, check or credit. Make checks payable to RABC; if you are paying with credit, there will be a $15 processing fee. My advice is to bring one of the first two payment options to avoid this fee.

The average time for band registration is one hour, however, please allow up to 2 hours for completing the process. Please also note that everyone working the event is a RABC band parent volunteer or a GEB student leader. FYI – we will not have the man power that we had today as this is an alternate date.

9th Grade Orientation Perfromance CANCELLED – Wed, Aug. 9th

Due to construction/district calendar changes, there will not be a performance after camp on Wednesday, August 9th for the 9th Grade Orientation.

Band Photos – Sat, Aug. 12th

On Saturday, August 12th, we will be taking our band photos. Please arrive at 8:15 AM and start changing into your full uniform. Call time in FULL UNIFORM will be at 8:45 AM (inspection lines). We should be completed with all photos by 12:00 PM. You will need wear your under-armor shirt, athletic shorts, long BLACK socks and marching shoes. You will also need your instrument.

For those who are new to the program, please wear a black shirt, athletic shorts and long BLACK socks.

Guard – Ms. Maldonado will provide you with information regarding your attire.
