9th Grade Camp Information

Hello 9th class,

Welcome to the Golden Eagle Band family! We are very excited about you being a part of our program! Hopefully you have received our band registration packet, which included a TON of information for you to get started. If you did not receive it, here are the links to the packets:




Important Dates:

9th Grade Winds and Percussion Marching Camp

07/29/15: 7:30a – 10:30a
07/30/15: 7:30a – 10:30a
07/31/15: 7:30a – 10:30a

9th Grade Color Guard Camp

07/27/15: 10:00a – 4:00p
07/28/15: 10:00a – 4:00p
07/29/15: 10:00a – 4:00p

We will be going outside and marching, so it is imperative that you:

1) Bring a water bottle/camelback
2) Wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes (no open-toed shoes or jeans)
3) Bring sun block, hats, sun glasses, etc.
4) Bring your instrument (if you need a school-owned instrument, please come see Mr. Marquez on the first day)

Band Registration

08/01/15 – Please review your scheduled time as printed in the registration packet. Parents are required to attend as well as the students. Most, if not all, of your questions will be answered on this day. Registration could take up to three hours.

Common questions:

Q – What do I do during RHS school registration if it interferes with band rehearsals?
A – Let a director know you will be going to your school registration and once you are done, return to rehearsal promptly.

Q – May I attend the 9th grade orientation?
A – Sure, but it is not necessary. Parents can attend the meeting and get the information while the students are in rehearsal in order to not get behind.

Q – What do I do if I am trying out for a sport and it interferes with band rehearsals?
A – Email Mr. Marquez and notify him of the sport you are trying out for. You will attend tryouts and then return to rehearsal promptly.
