The Golden Eagle Band has been named a 2019 National Winner by the National Band Association in the Programs of Excellence Blue Ribbon Award! Congratulations to all!
2020 Marching Band Summer Tentative Schedule
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! In the TWIGEB email, you will find the tentative 2020 spring/summer marching band schedule. Please understand that all events are required in order to continue the success of our program. Students who miss any event or are not prepared (musically and physically) will not be placed in a varsity marching spot regardless of grade level, ensemble placement or experience. This also includes prior grade history.
Chamber Music Festival Entry Due 01/13/20
The entry fee for Chamber Music Festival is due on Monday, January 13th; $5 for each solo and $5 for each member in an ensemble. Please turn it in to the safe.
Wind Symphony Side-by-Side Concert 01/14/20
Students in the Wind Symphony will be performing with the 8th graders from Richardson West JH and Westwood JH on Tuesday, January 14th. Please see below for schedule:
Attire: Water’s Edge Show Shirt and Jeans
Call Time: 5:30 PM (auditorium)
Concert: 7:00 PM
Musical Rehearsals
Monday, January 13 – 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (with singers in choir room)
Wednesday, January 15 – 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM (with singers in choir room)

Pep Rally 01/17/20
The last pep rally of the year is on Friday! The attire for the event is your Water’s Edge show shirt and jeans. Please have your flip folder, lyre and marching instrument. Call time will be 9:00 AM in the RHS band hall. Wind Symphony will rehearse starting at 8:20 as usual.
This pep rally is very important and everyone is require to be present with the correct attire! 8th graders from all over the district will be invited to come see our campus and learn about the magnet programs. It is imperative that WE bring our A game with our focus, spirit and musicianship. You could be the reason these 8th graders 1) come to RHS for a magnet program and 2) stay in band. In addition, our guard will be performing so make sure to show them your support!
Mattress Palooza Fundraiser – SAVE THE DATE
Support the Richardson High School Golden Eagle Band Mattress Fundraiser on January 25th.
Please forward the attached flier to family and friends to support the Richardson High School Golden Eagle Band Mattress Fundraiser. There will be over 30 beds on display for customers to try. The beds are new, brand name, made to order, available in all sizes, and cost less than retail stores. In addition to beds, there will also be luxury pillows, sheets, adjustable power bases and even full body massage chairs!
