June Camp Information Reminder

Hello GEB,

This is your friendly reminder that our June Band Camp starts MONDAY! This event is required for ALL 9th-12th graders (woodwinds, brass, percussion, and color guard). If you are new to the program, welcome to the Golden Eagle Band family!

Please wear athletic clothing (including tennis shoes), bring a water bottle, apply sunscreen and most importantly, do not forget your marching instrument. The weekly schedule is below for your convenience:

June 4th-8th

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Marching Fundamentals
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Lunch (on your own)
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Sectionals
2:00 PM – 2:15: Break
2:15 PM – 4:00 PM: Woodwind/Brass Rehearsals or Full Band

Lunch will be on your own everyday and you may choose to do one of the following (please make smart choices on food selections):

students may bring a sack-lunch
students may bring cash/card to purchase food in restaurants nearby (Coit and Belt Line)
parents may bring students lunch
parents may pick students up and take them to lunch

We will ALL start in the band hall at 8:00 AM sharp! You will be receiving you locker/lock combination, flip folder with stand tunes, show music and school-owned instrument(s) (if needed) on this day. If you are needing a school-owned instrument, payment will be made on July 28th at our band registration. Please be on time and remember that, to be on time is to be early!

Due to construction at RHS, an UPDATED Summer Band Schedule was emailed. Changes include the following:

Cancelled Leadership Meetings on July 23rd/24th
Date Change: August 11th – Band Pictures from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Date Change: August 13th – School Registration for ALL Band/Colorguard members from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
