Spring Trip Meeting 04/04/17
Please note that our REQUIRED spring trip meeting will held on Tuesday, April 4th from 7:45 PM – 8:45 PM in the RHS Band Hall. This meeting is for all students attending the trip AND at least one parent/legal guardian. We will be discussing trip information, expectations and itinerary.
Spring Trip T-Shirt Information
If you would like to purchase a spring trip shirt (design attached), students Rose Nagele, Anna Fitzgerald and Kendall Estridge will be at the spring trip meeting this Tuesday to collect money and sizes. Shirts are $10 (or $11.50 for XXL). Shirts will only be ordered for those who turn in money before the end of the day on Thursday, April 6th, regardless of whether or not you signed up for one.
*Please note that this purchase is not made through RABC or band directors. All money should be directed towards one of these students and NOT the band safe.
Band Fees
This is your friendly reminder that if you have any outstanding band fees, please make payment ASAP. Students with outstanding balances (Registration, All-Region, Chamber Music Festival, Spring Trip, etc) will not be able to attend the spring trip or receive graduation tickets just to name a few. Parents/students please email our treasurer at the treasury@richardsonband.org for any questions regarding outstanding balances.
Volleyball Court Building Fundraiser 04/05/17
On Wednesday, April 5th, we will be doing our REQUIRED annual volleyball court floor building fundraiser. This event will be held at the Dallas Convention Center from 5:00 PM – 10:45 PM. We will meet after school in the RHS Band Hall, eat pizza and then head Downtown. While this is a very labor extensive fundraiser, we raise $10,000+ in less than 6 hours. This is one of the ways we are able to keep our band fees the lowest in the region and more importantly, we ALL get to bond. This is not optional an event and we need all parents and students! Clinics/Dress Rehearsals
There are clinics and dress rehearsals this week in preparation for our upcoming UIL Performance. Please see schedule below:
Tuesday, April 4 – Wind Symphony Clinic (4:15 PM – 6:30 PM in the Band Hall)
Thursday, April 6 – Symphonic Band (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM in the Band Hall) Thursday, April 6 – Concert Band (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM in the Orchestra Room)
Beginner Drive #2 04/08/17
On Saturday, April 8th, we will be having our second beginner drive of the year. 5th graders from the RHS cluster will come and try out instruments/sign-up for band.
We will be needing about 20 students to help with the event from 8:15 AM – 1:00 PM. There will be a sign-up sheet in the front of the band hall for all volunteers. Service hours will be provided for your time!
