The Richardson High School pit orchestra (Urinetown The Musical) has been nominated as a 2020 Best Orchestra by the Dallas Summer Musicals! Congratulations to all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Below you will find all of the details for this week (04\/13\/20-04\/18\/20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Going into this week, you all will have two very easy assignments again! First, you are to practice the articulation exercise at 80 beats per minute and get it performance-ready; you will then post it (WITH METRONOME) on the GEB Flipgrid provided – flipgrid.com\/richardsonband. Percussionists – please post 2 rudiments. As always be professional, wear proper school attire and support one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The second assignment is to fill out the following google form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a band program, this will help us grow and create a common language to focus on key signatures. Just as before, you\u2019ll be able to follow along very easily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Both assignments are due on Friday, April 17th by 11:59 PM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For your convenience, here is the audition music which includes the articulation exercise. You must click on the “submit” button at the end of the application for it to go through. You will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received and processed. A limited amount of financial aid is available to assist students who would otherwise be unable to participate in the Golden Eagle Band due to financial constraints. Aid will be limited to assistance with either band operations fees OR private lessons scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All applications must be submitted online by end of day Monday, May 4. The paper must be typed 12 point, Times New Roman font, double-spaced and must reflect the writing quality, content, and construction expected of an Honors student. Students must also complete a research paper each semester on a topic approved by Mr. Marquez. The paper must be a minimum of six pages typed 12 point, Times New Roman font, double spaced, and include a work-cited page. A minimum of three sources is required.
