RHS represented extremely well at the RISD Chamber Music Festival! 251 1st division, including 26 honor awards, were awarded! Furthermore, our Winter Guard placed 3rd at their second contest of the season (Wakeland High School)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concerto Competition Prelims 02\/18\/20<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you have signed-up for the Concerto Competition, make sure you have completed the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
have made two copies of your solos (not originals)
\nwritten down your audition time
\ncontacted your accompanist for the finals event (should you advance)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the great amount of students who sign up, the directors will be listening to Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band and Concert Band students during classes on Tuesday. Wind Symphony will be after school on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Concerto Competition Finals 02\/20\/20<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Richardson High School is proud to present the Howard Dunn Richardson Area Concerto Competition! This is an event that gives students an opportunity to perform a solo which exhibits both their musicianship and training. COME SUPPORT YOUR FRIENDS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shana Tucker Presentation 02\/19\/20<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have a community outreach project that RISD and COR have partnered to provide for our HS music students. For the past 4 years, RISD Fine Arts and the Eisemann Center partner to bring in artists to impact our kids across RISD. This year, COR and The Eisemann Center is bringing in Shana Tucker, vocal and instrumental artist, to speak to our HS music students and to perform for them. Shana is a music professional that is multi-talented and will do a TED Talk type presentation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
