Below you will find all of the details for this week (01\/20\/20-01\/25\/20). Remember to always check richardsonband.org for the most updated schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No School 01\/20\/20 and 01\/21\/20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please practice (solo, ensemble, all-region music, UIL music, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eagle Celebration Performance Details 01\/22\/20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full Band:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6:00 pm – Inspection (warm-up, run-through of pep tunes)
\n6:30 pm – Move to auditorium
\n6:45 pm – Performance of pep tunes
\n7:00 pm – Move to band hall
\n7:05 pm – Dismissal<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drum Majors, Section Leaders (including percussion) and Wind Symphony (including Sousaphone)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7:05 pm – Run-through of Alma Mater with RHS Orchestra in the band hall
\n7:10pm – Move to auditorium
\n7:20 pm – Performance of Alma Mater
\n7:45 pm – Dismissal <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attire: Water\u2019s Edge show shirt and jeans.
\nWhat to bring: Marching instrument, flip folder and lyre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event will count as a performance grade. Colorguard and front ensemble (excluding cymbal players) are excused. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday January 21 – 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with singers auditorium)
\nSaturday, January 25 – 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (with singers auditorium)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All-Region Clinic and Concert 01\/23\/20-01\/24\/20 (if applicable)
If you are participating in the TMEA All-Region Clinic and Concert, please see the attached file on the TWIGEB email with specific details regarding the event. Below are a couple of reminders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to cover dinners for the event, every participating student must turn in $15 by Thursday, January 23rd. Please place cash or check in the safe located in the director\u2019s hallway in an envelope labeled All-Region Clinic Meals. If you are paying by check, make the check out to RABC and in the memo line write All-Region Clinic Meals. You will need to bring money for lunch on Friday.
\nTransportation to and from Mesquite will be provided, except on Friday night. At the completion of the concert, students will checkout with a RHS director. Parents\/legal guardians will pick-up student(s) at the end of their performance. Students will take their concert wear home and return it the following Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONCERT LOCATION\n\nPoteet High School\n3300 Poteet Dr.\nMesquite, TX 75150<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Call time for Thursday is 4:15 PM; call time for Friday is 6:45 AM. We will load buses right after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Friday morning, inspection will occur in the in the band hall; students will need their instrument, music and all of their concert attire items in a uniform bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mattress Palooza Fundraiser 01\/25\/20<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Mattress Palooza fundraiser will be on Saturday, January 25th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM in the RHS Band Hall; please continue to spread the word. Sign-up sheets will be available on Wednesday after school for student volunteers; students may sign up for one, two or all three shifts – service hours will be awarded and the best part is that you get to wear a mattress costume! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shift 1: Check in 9:30 AM, volunteer from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
\nShift 2: Check in 11:30 AM, volunteer from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
\nShift 3: Check in 1:30 AM, volunteer from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lunch\/dinner will be on your own.

2020 Marching Band Summer Tentative Schedule<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! In the TWIGEB email you will find the tentative 2020 spring\/summer marching band schedule once again for your convenience. Please understand that all events are required in order to continue the success of our program. Students who miss any event or are not prepared (musically and physically) will not be placed in a varsity marching spot regardless of grade level, ensemble placement or experience. This also includes prior grade history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
