Band Banquet FINAL RSVP Reminder – 05\/20\/19 by 6:00 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cCircus” band banquet is quickly approaching. To RSVP, visit https:\/\/richardsonband.org\/bandbanquet\/ All parents and band students are encouraged to attend to celebrate our many successful moments throughout the year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tickets are now $40 per person (credit card only). Final ticket sales are May 20th at 6:00 PM. Tickets will not be sold at the door so get your tickets for this event now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Physical Opportunity – 05\/21\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RHS will be offering an opportunity to complete your physical for $15 on Tuesday, May 21st in the RHS Freshman Gym from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Per UIL rules, students will now be REQUIRED to do a physical for the 2019-2020 school year. All students must have a physical complete before our July Camp, but it would be preferred if it was completed before our June Camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Legacy Jazz Concert 05\/21\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Legacy Jazz Concert will start at 7:00 PM in the RHS auditorium. ALL students and parents are encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Concert 05\/22\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All family and friends are invited to our last concert of the year! We will be starting off the concert with the Concert Band at 7:o0 PM. Ensemble director will be communicating specific details for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RISD Marching Band Parent Meeting 05\/23\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an effort to update PARENTS on changes and expectations of the marching band activity, Mr. Bradford, Executive Director of Fine Arts for Richardson ISD, will be presenting a session on Thursday, May 23\u2014RHS auditorium 7:00 pm. Topics will include UIL expectations, history of the marching arts, RISD expectations for marching excellence, and Marching Band 101. This meeting is for ALL RISD parents; there will be not space for students in the auditorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Band Inventory 05\/23\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will begin our inventory on Thursday, May 23rd. Please bring all items -marching instrument(s), concert instrument(s), mouthpiece(s), mute(s), folder, lock, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sax\/Low Reed Pizza Party 05\/23\/19 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will be providing pizza for all sax\/low reed students after school on Thursday, May 23rd for being the most spirited section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Honors Level Band Materials Due 05\/24\/19 (if applicable)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please turn in both concert reviews with program\/ticket and research paper or composition to Mr. Marquez. Please place in his box by 5:00 PM on 05\/24\/19. Failure to complete materials on time will result in a grade deduction for the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Band Banquet 05\/24\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friday May 24th at Hyatt Regency Richardson \u2013 7pm to 11pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dress is semi-formal. Free photo opportunity at 6:30 PM for all. Seniors will enter the dining area at 6:45pm for seating. The doors will open at 7:00pm for general seating. Please make sure to sit in your student\u2019s grade section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spring Creek Elementary Memorial Day Parade 05\/27\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Golden Eagle Band will be performing at the SCE Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th. This event is REQUIRED for old\/new leadership and drumline. All others are welcomed! Please see below for details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Call Time: 8:15 AM (load buses)
\nLocation: RHS Band
\nAttire: GEB black shorts and GEB purple, Dri-fit and tennis shoes
\nYou will need your marching instrument, flip folder and lyre
\nEvent will conclude at 12:15 PM (est)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
