West\/Westwood Midwinter Concert 02\/12\/19
On Tuesday, February 12th, both of our feeder schools (West and Westwood) will be performing at the Midwinter Concert in the auditorium. Please come support them!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Trip Payment #4 02\/14\/19 Due<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fourth spring trip $100 payment is due this Thursday, February 14th. After this payment, students should have paid $400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TMEA Convention 02\/13\/19-02\/16\/19<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The directors (along with Nicholas Lemon and Ben DiGennaro – our All-State students) be attending the Texas Music Educators Association Convention Wednesday-Saturday. Students will have a sub on Thursday and Friday. Below you will find your instructions for those two days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Everyone must practice for the duration of the period and should practice either their Solo, Ensemble and\/or Concert Music.<\/li>
  2. You may not use this time for homework.<\/li>
  3. You are not to use this time to see other teachers.<\/li>
  4. You may use the band hall, locker rooms or music library to PRACTICE, not to hang out. Each band director will let their band know where to go.<\/li>
  5. You may only go to the practice rooms if you are having a lesson or if you are practicing with your accompanist.<\/li>
  6. If you need to use the rest room or get a drink of water, you must ask permission from the substitute.<\/li>
  7. Everyone must be in their normal seat with all supplies by 3 minutes after the bell to take attendance (Wind Symphony by 9:00 AM). Anyone not in their seat by that time will be marked tardy or absent.  Once attendance is taken, you can go practice.<\/li>
  8. You cannot pack up before 3 minutes prior to the bell.<\/li>
  9. You must put away all chairs and stands that you used that period.<\/li>
  10. Percussionists are the only students allowed to use to percussion room for practice.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Remember that Mr. Marquez finds out about everything, so please follow directions and treat everyone with respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Winterguard Contest 02\/16\/18<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our JV and Varsity Winterguard will be competing in their second contest of the season on Saturday, February 16th at Northwest High School. Please see below for schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
