This is your friendly reminder that our June Band Camp starts MONDAY! This event is required for ALL 9th-12th graders (woodwinds, brass, percussion, and color guard). If you are new to the program, welcome to the Golden Eagle Band family!<\/p>\n
Please wear athletic clothing (including tennis shoes), bring a water bottle, apply sunscreen and most importantly, do not forget your marching instrument. The weekly schedule is below for your convenience:<\/p>\n
June 4th-8th<\/p>\n
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Marching Fundamentals
\n11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Lunch (on your own)
\n12:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Sectionals
\n2:00 PM – 2:15: Break
\n2:15 PM – 4:00 PM: Woodwind\/Brass Rehearsals or Full Band<\/p>\n
Lunch will be on your own everyday and you may choose to do one of the following (please make smart choices on food selections):<\/p>\n
students may bring a sack-lunch
\nstudents may bring cash\/card to purchase food in restaurants nearby (Coit and Belt Line)
\nparents may bring students lunch
\nparents may pick students up and take them to lunch<\/p>\n
We will ALL start in the band hall at 8:00 AM sharp! You will be receiving you locker\/lock combination, flip folder with stand tunes, show music and school-owned instrument(s) (if needed) on this day. If you are needing a school-owned instrument, payment will be made on July 28th at our band registration. Please be on time and remember that, to be on time is to be early!<\/p>\n
Due to construction at RHS, an UPDATED Summer Band Schedule was emailed. Changes include the following:<\/p>\n
Cancelled Leadership Meetings on July 23rd\/24th
\nDate Change: August 11th – Band Pictures from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
\nDate Change: August 13th – School Registration for ALL Band\/Colorguard members from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.<\/p>\n
