Kyle Foster is proud to serve as Assistant Band Director at Richardson High School. His duties include conducting the Concert Band, assisting with the Golden Eagle Marching Band, and teaching beginner classes throughout the RHS cluster.

Mr. Foster is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. While at SHSU, he studied trumpet with Randy Adams and Steve Warkentin. Mr. Foster held the principal trumpet position in the SHSU Wind Ensemble and the SHSU Symphony Orchestra, and was also a member of the SHSU Jazz Ensemble, Brass Choir, and Bearkat Marching Band. In 2019, he was a featured soloist for the SHSU Wind Ensemble’s performance at the Texas Music Educators Association convention in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Foster completed his student teaching at Hebron High School and Killian Middle School in Lewisville ISD.

Mr. Foster’s experience with marching band includes assisting with the Hebron Band as they prepared for the UIL State Marching Contest in 2020, where they earned a silver medal. His duties included assisting with drill and choreography instruction and leading high brass rehearsals. In 2017, he performed with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps for their production of Men Are From Mars.

Mr. Foster is originally from Keller and now resides in Richardson. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
