RHS March-A-Thon

Did you know it takes over $100,000 yearly to keep the Richardson High School Golden Eagle Band program going?

To help raise money to support the band, all Golden Eagle Band members will participate in our annual March-A-Thon on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 for donations for the band’s programs. The March-A-Thon is our largest fundraiser of the year and provides a fun opportunity for our band to engage the support of the community. We will march and play on a 5K route through neighborhoods surrounding RHS, stopping along the way to perform “Lawn Concerts,” in front of the homes of sponsors who donate a minimum of $50.00.

In order to help maintain lower fees, provide school-purchased instruments, and band scholarships, we ask every Golden Eagle Band student goal to collect a minimum of $250 in pledges by soliciting donations and sponsorship from family and friends, our RHS neighbors and local businesses. There is a lot of helpful information included in the MAT packet which you can download from the button below. This includes samples of letters you can send to family and friends or businesses, and a link to a Sign Up Genius list of potential corporate sponsors you could approach.

Click the button below for general donations, sponsorship payments, lawn concerts and march-a-thon t-shirts.

The band also accepts cash and checks made payable to the Richardson Area Band Club (RABC). Donations can be collected by students or checks can be mailed to: P. O. Box 832919, Richardson TX 75083-2919.

The deadline for collecting sponsorship/donations and placing them in the band safe (located by director’s offices) is Monday, September 9th, 2019. All corporate sponsor forms and any payments should be placed in the safe upon receipt and company logos sent in vector format to by September 9th for placement on the t-shirt and/or banner.

Please see the links below for your March-A-Thon packet which contains lots of helpful information and all the MAT forms you will need.  Also below are additional copies of forms should you need extras.
