Area Results
Thank you to the 10 students who participated in the TMEA Area C auditions this past Saturday. You all represented our school and district in great fashion! We appreciate your hard work and are so proud of you. Additionally, Ben DiGennaro (sophomore, clarinet) and Nicholas Lemmon (senior, percussion) made the 6A All-State Band! This is the fourth consecutive year that Richardson High School has placed at least one student in the All-State Band, an achievement that less than 1% of all band students in Texas accomplish.
Ben and Nicholas will be performing at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in mid February.
Spring Trip Payment #2 01/14/19 Due
The third spring trip $100 payment is due on Monday, January 14th.
Musical Rehearsals (if applicable)
Monday, January 14 – 4:30 PM-8:30 PM (with singers in Band Hall)
Saturday, January 19 – 10:00 AM-7:00 PM (with singers in Auditorium)
Wind Symphony & 8th Grade Side by Side Concert 01/15/19
The Wind Symphony will be performing the piece “Onward” side-by-side with the 8th graders on Tuesday, January 15th. Please see below for details:
Call Time: 6:50 PM
Attire: Danza de La Rosa show shirt and jeans
Performance: 8:00 PM (concludes around 8:15 PM)
Richardson vs Lake Highlands Basketball Performance 01/18/19
The Golden Eagle Band will be performing at the RHS vs LHHS Men’s JV and Varsity Basketball games on Friday, January 18th. Call time will be 4:45 PM in the RHS Band Hall. We will eat pizza, move to inspection lines, warm-up and set up in the gym. Please wear your Danza de La Rosa show shirt and jeans. The JV game begins at 6:00 and varsity at 7:30 PM. The event should conclude by 9:00 PM. 5 hours of service will provided for all who participate.
