Band Registration – THIS SATURDAY

RHS Band Members and Parents,

It’s that time – Band Registration! We’ll kick of the 2013 Marching Season officially on Saturday, August 3rd with our annual Band Registration Event. This event is for EVERY SINGLE Golden Eagle Band member and Parent. Every member of the Golden Eagle Band must be registered for Band through the RABC (Richardson Area Band Club). This ensures that all fees have been paid and that all the items you’ll need for the year have been ordered. It is absolutely vital that everyone attend this Saturday’s event. First time to register? Here’s what you need to know!

  1. Check the registration schedule (found below) so you know your time to arrive and be registered. Please stick to this schedule as closely as possible as it will help us move smoothly through the day and keep the lines flowing.
  2. You’ll need to bring all of the 7 mandatory forms in the Registration Packet (click here to download for Band or here to download for Guard) These forms should already be filled out and simply ready to hand in. The forms to turn in are:
    • Form 1: Supply List (Guard or Band)
    • Form 2: Travel Form (two pages)
    • Form 3: Photo Release
    • Form 4: Directory Release
    • Form 5: UIL Acknowledgement
    • Form 6: Meal Plan Form (optional)
  3. If you are wanting to enroll in the Scrip program, please also bring the  Scrip Enrollment Form. Not sure what Scrip is? No problem, our scrip coordinator will be on hand to answer your questions!
  4. In addition to turning in your forms, all Band members will be sized for any and all items that need to be purchased. These include:
    • Marching Shoes
    • Polo Shirt
    • Compression Shirt
    • Black Shorts
    • Concert Tux parts
  5. If you ordered extra marching show shirts back in the Spring, those will be on hand for you to pickup at Registration. Each student will get one shirt through the registration process.
  6. Lastly, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase RHS Football Season Tickets, RHS Spirit Wear items, and any instrument accessories you need (new reeds, flip folder, lyre, etc) at Brook Mays. Note that all instruments except Flute and Drum Line must have Lyres (which hold the flip folders) by our first performance. This is a very easy opportunity to pick one up if you don’t already own one.
Still unsure/a bit overwhelmed? No worries! We have a fleet of RABC Volunteers available that day to answer your questions and help you through the process. Whether you’re a veteran or a new GEB family, we’ve got you covered!
