Band Banquet – May 31st

RHS Band Members and Parents,

The RHS Band Banquet will take place at the Palomar Hotel on Friday, May 31st from 7:00pm-11:00pm. The Band Banquet is in many ways the most important event of the year; it is most definitely my favorite. We design this event to serve as a big thank you to the parents and students of the Golden Eagle Band program. Each year, on this night, we all come together as a band family to celebrate our successes and honor the individuals who have been instrumental in making this year so special. On this night, we all sit back, eat an excellent meal together, and enjoy the fruits of our hard work. Some of my most fond memories in high school include sitting with my parents at each of my band banquets. They are memories that my family have always cherished. Make no mistake – this is an event for band parents and students alike!
Tickets to the Band Banquet that are purchased before May 15th will cost $30.00 per ticket. After May 15th, the cost is $35.00. We certainly realize that the ticket costs seem high. I absolutely understand the significance in the cost associated with bringing a family of three or four to the banquet. Please understand that none of the ticket price goes to booster club as a fundraiser. This is simply the cost of pulling off an event of the caliber that we feel our members and parents want and deserve. Many band students consider this the “band prom”. We are looking to begin an excellent tradition of attendance at this event. For those who have never attended before, this night often shows you a different side of the band program than you have seen. Please consider joining us!
Also, in order to ensure that everyone who purchases a ticket to the event has a place to sit and a dinner to eat, this year’s banquet is a ticket only event. No one will be admitted to the banquet without a ticket and the doors will close once dinner is served at 7:30pm. The room capacity will allow for us to only honor the first 250 ticket sales. Don’t miss out because you waited until the last minute!

  2. Fill out the online RSVP form to reserve your tickets.
  3. You may either pay via the RABC safe (by selecting Cash/Check on the RSVP) or via Credit Card on the website (by selecting Credit Card on the RSVP).
